How do you dispose of waste? We are proud to be contracted with the national waste transfer station SUEZ, where all items are responsibly tipped in three categories: general waste, wood, and POPs (persistent organic pollutants) such as couches and foam items. We are committed to preventing fly-tipping and ensuring all waste is handled legally and ethically. As a fully licensed waste carrier, we provide a waste transfer note for every job, giving you peace of mind that your waste is disposed of in compliance with environmental regulations.
-
How much does a House Clearance cost? The cost of a house clearance depends on several factors, including the volume of items, labour required, and whether any items are reusable or resaleable, which can help offset the overall cost. We carefully separate items into categories to be tipped, ensuring accurate pricing. On average, a full van load costs approximately £440, including tipping fees, labour, and responsible waste management. For a more precise quote, we offer free assessments tailored to your specific clearance needs.
-
How long will a house clearance take? The time required for a house clearance depends on the size of the property and the volume of items to be cleared. For most properties, we can complete the job within a single day. Smaller clearances may take just a few hours, while larger or more complex clearances could take longer, sometimes spanning over two or three days. During our free in-person assessment, we’ll provide a time estimate based on your specific needs, ensuring the process is as efficient as possible.
-
How do I prepare for a House Clearance? We recommend identifying and separating any items you wish to keep before the clearance begins. This helps ensure nothing valuable is removed unintentionally. Additionally, bagging up smaller items or grouping them beforehand can significantly reduce the labour cost of the job, saving you money. To make the process even easier, we offer a free in-person house clearance assessment. During this visit, we’ll evaluate the property, discuss your specific needs, and provide a no-obligation quote.
-
Are there any items that you are unable to take? While we handle most household and commercial items, there are certain items we cannot take due to safety and legal restrictions as well as the waste transfer site that we are contracted with not accepting certain items. These include: Explosives or firearms Construction waste such as plasterboard, bricks, or rubble Propane tanks or other pressurized gas cylinders Tyres Radioactive materials Items that are vermin or insect-infested If you’re unsure about specific items, feel free to contact us, and we’ll help advise on how to handle them responsibly or direct you to the appropriate service.
-
